Welcome to my collection of photos taken all around my home area of Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey and Killiney in south county Dublin, Ireland. I’m an all-year sea swimmer with my best friend, Ruadh, who features in many photographs. You’ll often find us on Whiterock, Seapoint or Dun Laoghaire Harbour at some point most days.

Me:
My background is in engineering & physics, but my passion is photography. I really love just staring at the beauty of Nature around me and trying, in some humble way, to capture a slice of that beauty for sharing with my friends.

I’m captivated by the ethereal nature of light and shade. I see an image in my head and then try to express it as best I can. I’m inspired by the impressions & moods induced by the landscape, cloudscape & seascape.

I print with a Canon ImagePROGRAF Pro-1000 on Hahnemühle Photo Luster Paper

I make the frames myself in my workshop from solid ayous wood – absolutely no MDF!

For safety, I glaze with 2mm acrylic Perspex© that’s guaranteed for 30 years against yellowing.
